Early snow on Pizzo Evigno

Our ,,chestnut” holidays this year began rather disturbedly with a real winter-attack on… the 28th of October 2012. The day before we landed in Nizza in shirtsleeves and 20° C, a day later abruptly cut off by a freezingly wind coming from the North and the Alps. Temperature at Guagnolo (350 meter above sealevel) lowered till 6° C together with rainstorms. Consequently on our fetish mountain Pizzo Evigno (988m) snow was falling all day long, a spectacular view we never experienced before.

Snowstorm above Pizzo Evigno (988m) the 28th of October

Only 12 hours later, the day after: a beautiful sunny day: the snow is melting very fast…

Above the higher Arroscia Valley, with the Monte Galero (about 1700 m): more snow, a brilliant spectacle, so early… (the 29th of October)
